Mazi Ohia
Imo State Commissioner for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mazi Uche Ohia, PhD, has congratulated the Believers' LoveWorld Ministries, aka Christ Embassy, on its Reachout World campaign, which seeks to spread the message of the imminent second coming of Jesus Christ and the end of the world.
Mazi Uche Ohia, who gave the congratulatory message in his office while hosting a delegation of the Christ Embassy on a courtesy visit also urged the church to take advantage of the improved security, hospitality and standardized infrastructure put in place in Imo by the Senator Hope Uzodimma administration to bring its regional and national events and programmes to the state.
Mazi Uche Ohia said, "I congratulate Christ Embassy for devoting all energy and resources to get the world ready for the second coming of Christ".
Speaking on the message of Christ's return, the Commissioner noted: "I would personally identify myself with the message you brought; as a Ministry, while we promote our culture, we are not unmindful of the fact that our people are Christians; while we have a cultural heritage in Igboland, we equally have a Christian heritage, our people are practicing Christians.
"The message of Christ has no borderline and I encourage you to take the message to every corner of the earth, we shall support you; the message is timely at this period of confusion, there are things that are happening that are beyond human comprehension, clearly unnatural things and this is a message the world needs".
"We have too many young people that need the message of Christ and we are willing to support in spreading the message; do not relent no matter, who tries to discourage you, it is a message we all need irrespective of denomination".
While encouraging the Christ Embassy to bring its regional and national events and programmes to Owerri, Mazi Ohia explained that: "The Uzodimma administration has made commendable efforts to reduce insecurity, which is a national problem. The Imo State Government is providing standardized roads and other infrastructure; if there are national programmes the church is planning, please bring them to Owerri and we promise the needed hospitality and security". "We encourage you to use the venues that we have and the opportunities we have created to hold your regional and national programmes".
Earlier, the leader of the Christ Embassy delegation, Deacon Chuma Okwaodu, told the Commissioner that they were in the Ministry with a message from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, President of the Believers' LoveWorld Ministries as part of the Ministry's global campaign branded REACHOUT WORLD.
According to Deacon Chuma Okwaodu, the urgent message was given to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome by the Lord to the effect that "the world as we know is winding up; this dispensation of humanity will phase out when the owner and Monarch of the universe, Jesus Christ, returns soon". He went ahead to say that "humanity should be ready for the coming of the Lord, practically all the prophesied signs of the end of the world have been fulfilled". He said that was the message the whole world needed to hear as part of God's love, adding that there was a "unity in the body of Christ, a strong network and partnership of denominations" involving several billions of people worldwide on the message of Christ's imminent return.
Deacon Chuma concluded by informing the Commissioner and Heads of Departments of the Ministry that his delegation came to see him because he was a strong voice that had influence over many people and appealed to him for cooperation and assistance to spread the message.
Part of the highlights of the visit was the presentation of the Holy Bible to the Commissioner and distribution of copies of Rhapsody of Realities to staff of the Ministry.
Among those present during the visit were Mrs Josephine Oguike, Mrs Adaeze Nzeogu and Lady Ngozi Oham, who are Heads of Departments of Culture, Creative Arts, and Tourism respectively in the Imo State Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.
Others were Pastor Chisom Terex-Okere, Pastor Felix Nwaka, Pastor Henry Chukwukere, Mrs Njiribeako, and Mr Sampson, all of Christ Embassy, South East Zone 1.
