Nigerian man expresses dismay as women support his wife to marry another man

 By Naijaexpress

Anthony Echebiri, an officer with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has voiced his frustration over the reactions of Nigerian women to his marital woes.

Echebiri accused his estranged wife, Okechukwu Fortune Adaobi, of abandoning him and their daughter to marry another man, despite still being legally married to him. His claims sparked a heated debate online, with opinions sharply divided.

While many sympathized with Echebiri’s situation, a significant number, predominantly women, openly supported his estranged wife. These women applauded her decision to leave what they described as an “unhappy marriage” and praised her for taking bold steps toward personal happiness.

The backlash against Echebiri stems from a controversial post he made last year, where he appeared to endorse polygamy, which many believe undermines his current grievances.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Echebiri expressed dismay over the perceived lack of empathy from Nigerian women, criticizing their unwavering support for his estranged wife despite the challenges he faces.

“Sequel to my post of yesterday where I cried out to the world of the ill treatment meted out to me by my lawfully-wedded wife Okechukwu Fortune Adaobi I realised that our society has seemingly lost it.

“Over 90% of ladies wore their sexist shoes on a default mode without recourse to the peculiarities of the post. At that point, my devastation of being cheated on ceased abruptly.

However a new kind of devastation set in, that is, that society has rendered most of our ladies so vengeful and bereft of human conscience.

Nonetheless, I join no issues with any biased folk(s). My previous shared post was never in support of Yul Edochie. I only vocalised our forefathers’ history with polygamy in that very post originally made by one lady… I never mentioned Yul Edochie, let alone endorse that men should snatch people’s wives.

Moreover, the said post was only made towards the end of 2023 in my wilderness days when I had already stayed almost two years with my kids alone, being that my wife left me since April 24, 2022. So you all can see my stance on polygamy, clearly. The post was made long after she left. And, I never encouraged any man to snatch another’s wife.

If you are getting married to a woman, make sure she is not married at the time, that is my position. I NEVER ENDORSED SNATCHING OF WIVES…It is criminal and must go with severe consequences.

So, O you Feminists of our time! Go on, misconstrue me, ruminate that which you device in your vile hearts; in fact get orgasmic while binging on my post for as much as you deem fit for your happiness. At least, I am healing you all of your acute depression by my post, free of charge.

I wish everyone reading my post a beautiful home now for the married, and in the future for intending couples in Jesus’ name. Amen!!! God bless you all.
