Abuja Court grants Rep Ikwechegh N500,000 bail

(Punch) A Kuje Magistrate Court on Wednesday granted bail to a House of Representatives member for Aba North and South, Alex Ikwechegh, in the sum of N500,000.

Ikwechegh was arraigned for allegedly assaulting a Bolt driver, Stephen Abuwatseya, outside his Abuja residence.

The lawmaker went viral in a video on social media for allegedly assaulting the bolt driver.

In the video, the lawmaker could be heard threatening the driver and assuring him that he could make him disappear without a trace.

Wild Dogs maul Nigerian woman in Italy

By Mirror UK A 27-year-old Nigerian woman, Patricia Masithela, tragically lost her life after being mauled by a pack of starving dogs in Latina, Italy. The incident occurred  while Patricia was visiting a male acquaintance at his abandoned villa in the Lazio region, according to Mirror UK. Her screams filled the night, alerting neighbours to the savage attack. Patricia, who had recently moved to Lazio from Nigeria, reportedly visited the house, unaware that her friend was not at home. She was discovered critically injured, lying in a pool of blood with deep wounds across her body after the attack. Court orders all Nigerian banks to blacklist Nduka Obaigbena from financial transactions over $718 million FBN debt

The December 30, 2024, Mareva order also sought to prevent Mr Obaigbena from moving any assets linked to him from the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court.
