Enzo followed his father's footsteps and played for Juventus and Real Madrid's youth sides before making his senior professional debut for Los Blancos in 2016. He later played for clubs like Aves and Almeria before joining Spanish third-tier side Fuenlabrada in 2023 on a one-year deal. After appearing in 29 matches across all competitions in the 2023/24 campaign, the midfielder decided to bring the curtain down on his career at the age of 29.

Enzo dreamt of playing at the highest level in European football like his father who is widely considered as one of the greatest players to have ever graced the sport. However, as years went by, the midfielder realised that his career was not on a path of progress which slowly demoralised him. Per AS, in 2023, when he moved to the Spanish third division, the player had already made up his mind to quit football and he finally took the call in September 2024. His decision has been fully backed by his family and he is now focussing on his investments.

Earlier in his career, the now 29-year-old was eligible to represent three national teams, Spain, France and Algeria. He briefly played for the Spanish Under-15 side before representing France at the U-19 level in 2014.

While Zidane's eldest child has quit football, his three other sons Luca, Theo and Elyaz continue to play for Granada, Cordoba and Real Betis respectively.
