By our correspondent The Imo State Amalgamated Markets and Traders Association (ISAMATA), under the leadership of Hon. Emmanuel Ezeanochie, has vowed to bring down the price of rice in the State by flooding the entire State with quality long grain rice. He stated this during a recent chat with a section of the media in his office, at the State Secretariat, Port Harcourt Road, Owerri. The decision to engage in the rice project according to Ezeanochie, was informed by the desire of ISAMATA Executive to align with the Shared Prosperity policy of Governor Uzodimma Administration, which aims at improving the lot of the masses, especially in the area of food security. It would be recalled that when Ezeanochie assumed office, as the President of ISAMATA, he vowed to bring positive change that will be beneficial to the traders and the rice scheme, which has the blessing and support of the Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma is one of those innovative projects.
